Our Great Streams!

Rico's Blog 4/11/2010

Alright guys, I know it's been a while.  Haven't had a lot of time to go exploring.  Tis' the season, and I have been working myself ragged.  I finally caught a break and managed to take some time off and hit the waters.  My friends and I decided to do a little boating down the Three Rivers Confluence.  Started on the Saluda and pulled out at the Riverwalk.  It was quite an exciting journey!  We hung out on some cool rocks for a bit and one of my friends decided to do that stick thing, and, as always, I swam after it because it was the coolest stick ever!  Anyway, to sum it up, you guys should definitely try this out.  The Spanish moss is pretty cool, too!

I hope you guys didn't miss out on this beautiful weekend!  I sure didn't!  A little paddle up the Saluda was just what I needed.  We spotted a bald eagle and it's nest, so we decided to explore.  Nothing wrong with a little rock climbing on a canoe adventure.  By day two, I was beat!  We did, however, wake to the sounds of water spilling through mini waterfalls in the rocks!  My keepers didn't get much out of me.  Hopefully, if you didn't get the opportunity this past weekend, you will be able to enjoy some lazy days in the sun soon!  This time of year, you can't pass up a chance to enjoy a nice weekend!

How 'bout that snow guys!  I know I had a good time.  My keepers put the kayaks to good use in the snow!  I enjoyed chasing them around the field. I also met some new friends!  Cody actually wore me out.  Didn't think that was possible.
As much fun as that was, I am ready to get back in the water!  Now that we got a bit of snow, I am ready for it to warm back up.  May have a decent couple of days ahead of us, so, who knows! A good canoe trip would be okay with me. Hopefully we can break out the camping gear soon!

Congaree Creek is FLOOD-ED!  I got more than my paws wet yesterday...lol!  My female keeper freaked out about something so I decided to bail and get out of the canoe.  I am a professional, so I didn't tip the boat.  Turns out, it was all over a tick (good grief).

Okay guys, I don't know about you, but I'm ready to get my paws wet!  Monday may be a warm day, so it may be time to get the boats wet!
